Melissa Hendricks

Vice President- Programs

Melissa Hendricks was born and raised in Midland, Texas. Her family has had ties to the land through farming and ranching in Brewster, Brown, and Mills Counties since the late 1800’s which has helped her understand the symbiotic relationship between man and natural resources. While growing up, her family spent many vacations camping in the states of Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas, and Colorado which is where she developed an enjoyment of the outdoors and outdoor activities.

Melissa has a BSEd degree from Texas Tech University. After a short career teaching, she began working in the petroleum industry for a pipeline company and then with an exploration and production firm. In 1994, her husband’s employment in the oil industry brought the family to The Woodlands, Texas, where she once again became involved in the education field as a substitute teacher.

Since retirement, the family has moved to Montgomery where she has become involved as a volunteer with The Lake Creek Greenway & Preserve.
